Note: The first cutscene that will activate upon speaking to Brutus is for the Jeuno quest Chocobo on the Loose!.....Don't be confused by this first cutscene!
Walkthrough
- To begin, speak to Brutus at (G-7) on any job level 20 or higher, This starts the quest Chocobo on the Loose!.
- The first cutscene you will receive is for the Jeuno quest Chocobo on the Loose!. This cutscene is not involved in the quest Chocobo's Wounds.
- You need to talk with Brutus again in order to correctly flag the beginning of Chocobo's Wounds. When he asks if you want to ride a chocobo, that is the correct beginning for Chocobo's Wounds
- Speak to him a third time and choose I sure do, then Nope, never.
- Obtain Gausebit Grass x4.
- They can be purchased from the Auction House under Weapons > Ammo & Misc. > Pet Items
- They can be farmed in Meriphataud Mountains from Crane Flies.
- Do not confuse them with Gysahl Greens which are sold from the stables NPC. Gysahl Greens do not work for this quest.
- Feed the chocobo standing next to Osker one Gausebit Grass.
- Here on HomepointXI, it is possible to feed the chocobo once every 60 seconds (Earth time).
- It will take 6 feeding attempts to complete the quest.
- The first 2 attempts will automatically fail, and will not consume a grass.
- Once the chocobo eats the 4 Gausebit Grass you are presented with a Chocobo license.
