[Guide] Smithing to 110

• Every 0.1 skill up grants 100 exp
• Skill ups occur in steps of 0.3, 0.6, or 0.9.
• Skill ups occur very often
• You can craft items up to 15 levels above your current level
• You can obtain level 110 on all crafts except Synergy and Fishing
• The level 100->110 promotion item is listed over at the Valhalla Wiki

This guide will primarily focus on break synthing, where you craft items that are much higher level than your current level in order to break the synthesis, thus leading to an overall less items (and gil) expenditure in the path to reach level 110.

Almost all the ingredients here can be bought from the craft NPCs in @mog2. For those that can’t be, a description on how to obtain them will be provided.

Recruit Promotion Item = Xiphos Tin Ingot (cap at 14): Fire Crystal + 4x Tin Ore

Craft Cotton Thread until smithing skill is level 10, turn in the Xiphos for promotion, then continue till level 14.

Initiate Promotion Item = Aspis Tathlum (cap at 29): Wind Crystal + 1x Steel Ingot

Craft Tathlum until smithing skill is level 28.

Novice Promotion Item = Bilbo Steel Sheet (cap at 35): Fire Crystal + 1x Steel Ingot

Craft Steel Sheet until smithing skill is level 35.

Steel Scales (cap at 39): Wind Crystal + 1x Steel Sheet

Craft Steel Scales until smithing skill is level 38.

Apprentice Promotion Item = War Pick Bronze Sheet (cap at 50): Wind Crystal + 1x Quadav Helm

Craft Bronze Sheet until smithing skill is level 50.

Journeyman Promotion Item = Mythril Pick Darksteel Bolt Heads (cap at 61): Wind Crystal + 1x Darksteel Ingot

Craft Darksteel Bolt Heads until smithing skill is level 60.

Craftsman Promotion Item = Darksteel Falchion Dark Bronze Ingot (cap at 73): Fire Crystal + 1x Darksteel Ore + 1x Tin Ore + 2x Copper Ore

Craft Dark Bronze Ingot until smithing skill is level 64.

Karimata Arrowheads (cap at 61): Wind Crystal + 1x Iron Ingot + 1x Tama-Hagane

Craft Karimata Arrowheads until smithing skill is level 70, turn in Darksteel Falchion for promotion, then continue until level 75.

Artisan Promotion Item = Bascinet Adaman Ingot (cap at 89): Fire Crystal + 3x Adaman Ore + 1x Iron Ore

Craft Adaman Ingot until smithing skill is level 84.

Adept Promotion Item = Bastard Sword Relic Steel (cap at 96): Fire Crystal + 2x Relic Iron

Craft Relic Steel until smithing skill is level 90, turn in Bascinet for promotion, then continue until level 96.

Veteran Promotion Item = Celata Relic Steel (cap at 96): Fire Crystal + 2x Relic Iron

Continue until level 96.

Wootz Ingot (cap at 110): Fire Crystal + 1x Wootz Ore + 1x Rosewood Lumber + 1x Steel Ingot

Continue until level 100, turn in Celata for promotion, then continue until level 110.

Expert Promotion Item = Adaman Cuirass Wootz Ingot (cap at 110): Fire Crystal + 1x Wootz Ore + 1x Rosewood Lumber + 1x Steel Ingot

Continue until level 110.
