History/Background

In Celtic mythology, Ochain ("Beautiful Ear" and "Moaning One") was the magical shield of Conchobar, which hung in his feasting hall. Whenever Conchobar was in danger, Ochain would moan, and all the shields in the army of Ulster would moan along with it.
