[Guide] Leathercraft to 110

Note: A majority of this is a literal copy and paste of the text from the original page on Valhalla private server's wiki. This was done in case Valhalla private server ever goes offline, taking this valuable resource with it.

  • Editing has been done to omit comments that obviously only pertain to Valhalla private server customizations that are not also in effect here on HomepointXI.
  • Editing has also been done for formatting, improve readability, and to add the obtainment sources for materials (NPCs decided based on cost then proximity from the primary guild location)

This guide will primarily focus on break synthing, where you craft items that are much higher level than your current level in order to break the synthesis, thus leading to an overall less items (and gil) expenditure in the path to reach level 110.

Recruit

Promotion Item - Rabbit Mantle: Earth Crystal + 5x Rabbit Hide + 1x Grass Thread

  • Rabbit Hide is available from NPC Cletae at (D-8) in the Leathercraft Guild shop in Southern San d'Oria or can be farmed.
  • Grass Thread is available from NPC Kuzah Hpirohpon at (F-12) in the Clothcraft Guild shop in Windurst Waters or can be farmed.


Lizard (Leather) Strap (skill level 12) (caps at Leathercraft skill level 23): Wind Crystal + 2x Lizard Skin

  • Lizard Skin is available from NPC Cletae at (D-8) in the Leathercraft shop in Southern San d'Oria or can be farmed.


Craft Lizard (Leather) Strap until Leathercraft skill is level 8.

Initiate

Promotion Item - Lizard Cesti: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!

Leather Ring (skill level 22) (caps at Leathercraft skill level 33): Wind Crystal + 1x Dhalmel Leather

  • Dhalmel Leather: Dark Crystal + 1x Willow Log + 1x Dhalmel Hide + 1x Distilled Water
    • Willow Log is available from NPC Chaupire at (E-3) in the Woodcraft Guild shop in Northern San d'Oria.
    • Dhalmel Hide is available from NPC Cletae at (D-8) in the Leathercraft Guild shop in Southern San d'Oria or can be farmed.
    • Distilled Water is available from NPC Kueh Igunahmori at (D-8) in the Leathercraft Guild shop in Southern San d'Oria.
    • Dhalmel Leather also can be farmed.


Craft Leather Ring until Leathercraft skill is level 21.

Novice

Promotion Item - Dhalmel Mantle: Ice Crystal + 1x Wool Thread + 1x Dhalhel Hide

  • Dhalmel Hide is available from NPC Cletae at (D-8) in the Leathercraft Guild shop in Southern San d'Oria or can be farmed.


Wolf Mantle (caps at Leathercraft skill level 44): Ice Crystal + 1x Wolf Hide + 1x Wool Thread

  • Wolf Hide is available from NPC Kueh Igunahmori at (D-8) in the Leathercraft Guild shop in Southern San d'Oria or can be farmed.
  • Wool Thread is available from NPC Meriri at (F-12) in the Clothcraft Guild shop in Windurst Woods.


Craft Wolf Mantle until Leathercraft skill is level 31.


Apprentice

Promotion Item - Magic Belt: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!
Waistbelt (caps at Leathercraft skill level 54): Wind Crystal + 1x Grass Thread + 2x Ram Leather

Raptor Strap (caps at Leathercraft skill level 64): Wind Crystal + 2x Raptor Skin

  • Raptor Skin is available from NPC Kueh Igunahmori at (D-8) in the Leathercraft Guild shop in Southern San d'Oria or can be farmed.


Craft Raptor Strap until Leathercraft skill is level 52.


Craftsman

Promotion Item - Raptor Jerkin: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!
Hard Leather Ring (caps at Leathercraft skill level 73): Wind Crystal + 1x Tiger Leather

  • Tiger Leather: Dark Crystal + 1x Willow Log + 1x Tiger Hide + 1x Distilled Water

Beak Jerkin (caps at Leathercraft skill level 80): Earth Crystal + 1x Sheep Leather + 2x Cockatrice Skin

  • Sheep Leather: Dark Crystal + 1x Willow Log + 1x Sheepskin + 1x Distilled Water

Craft Beak Jerkin until Leathercraft skill is level 60 (this will serve as a less expensive bridge between the gap at level 58 to 61).

  • Iron Scales: Wind Crystal + Iron Sheet (requires Smithing level 26)

Craft Coeurl Jerkin until its Leathercraft skill level cap of level 100 (pushing this all the way because spending gil is far preferred over farming more Griffon Hides).


Veteran

Promotion Item - Coeurl Mask: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!
If you have tons of Griffon Hides, use them to craft Griffon Leather (Leathercraft 97) (caps at Leathercraft skill level 108): Dark Crystal + 1x Griffon Hide + 1x Willow Log + 1x Distilled Water

  • Griffon Hide is only obtained from mobs in Dynamis - San d'Oria or Dynamis - Beaucedine.
  • Willow Log is available from NPC Chaupire at (E-3) in the Woodcraft Guild shop in Northern San d'Oria.
  • Distilled Water is available from NPC Kueh Igunahmori at (D-8) in the Leathercraft Guild shop in Southern San d'Oria.


Craft Griffon Leather until Leathercraft skill is level 96.


Expert

Promotion Item - Urja Trousers (signed): Terra Crystal (purchase from !shop 1) + 2x Buffalo Leather + 2x Squamous Hide

  • Buffalo Leather: Dark Crystal + 1x Willow Log + 1x Buffalo Hide + 1x Distilled Water
    • Willow Log is available from NPC Chaupire at (E-3) in the Woodcraft Guild shop in Northern San d'Oria.
    • Buffalo Hide is available from NPC Cletae at (D-8) in the Leathercraft Guild shop in Southern San d'Oria or can be farmed.
