Walkthrough
- The chocobo to the left of Mapitoto (when you are facing Mapitoto) wishes to make a gift for their faithful friend Shalott, who has never left their side.
- This will be the most elaborate gift the chocobo has ever made and as such, a wide variety of items are needed to construct the gift.
- For further reference, the chocobo in focus is in the east corner of the outside portion of the Chocobo stables.
- The chocobo is the one shown in the picture to the far-right, as if you are looking at it face-to-beak.
- Using the below table as a guide, obtain a desired item and trade the desired item (one item per trade) to the chocobo.
- Some items may require a visit to an NPC shop.
- Some items may require obtaining them from defeating mobs.
- Some items may require content/mission progression in to be able to access the obtainment source of the item.
- The chocobo will give you the reward item in return and advise you to then trade the reward item to Mapitoto.
- Mapitoto will then surprise you wonderfully for the item you have given her!
- The Chocobo Whistle item (received as a reward for one of the below trades) has no use other than to be traded to Mapitoto. It may be retained or may safely be discarded after having been traded.
- The Fenrir mount is obtained through its retail quest.
- There are some rewards items that you obviously shouldn't trade to Mapitoto.
- You could trade them to her, but she'll just stay silent and not accept the item.
- If you can't figure out what to do with them, just have a look at them in your inventory or via a different menu after the chocobo gives them to you. ;)
- Mapitoto will then surprise you wonderfully for the item you have given her!
