  • Speak with Iruki-Waraki at (K-9) in Aht Urhgan Whitegate for a cutscene.
    • You must be on Puppetmaster at level 40 or higher to receive this cutscene and start the quest. Once the quest is active you can complete the remainder on any job.
    • You'll only progress further in the cutscene if you choose the top answers, choosing the wrong answers will not allow the cutscene to progress to the end.
  • Head to (H-6) on the second floor in Nashmau and speak with Dnegan for a cutscene. He'll mention seeing a Puppetmaster in the area recently and that that Puppetmaster lost his gil pouch in Caedarva Mire.
  • Exit Nashmau out the east gate into Caedarva Mire and head to the island at (I-10) in the middle of Deadmist Marsh.
    • You can access the island from the east side of the marsh by walking across the path of lily pads (green patches on the water).
  • Examine the ??? in the center of the marsh to spawn the Doomed NM Caedarva Toad.
    • Note: There are two ??? at I-10. The one you want is in the center of the marsh next to the island, not on the outside of the marsh near the beginning of the lily pad path.
  • Examine the ??? again after you've defeated the Caedarva Toad for a cutscene.
  • Return back to Iruki-Waraki in Aht Urhgan Whitegate to complete the quest and receive your reward.
