[Guide] Leathercraft to 110 by EpicTaru

  • Do not expect to make any gil using this guide. This guide is meant to just skill up quickly and either A.) Sell the crafted items to NPC shops or B.) Hope that the AH-Bot buys back your item.


  • Most of the items I will be listing have a 4-5 level gap in them. In the case of a having a gap of greater than 5 levels, having Advanced Synthesis Support is a must. You will not get any skill-ups for any breaks if you are more than 5 levels under the skill level of the synth!


  • All recipe items listed below can either be bought from shops/guilds and/or obtained by farming them. Buy the crystals/clusters on the AH or farm them in Sky/Sea.


  • NPCs listed were based on cost then proximity from the primary guild location, if they aren't already guild NPCs.

At the time of writing this guide (April 2023), the only craft available here on HomepointXI that is level 110 or higher is:
Wretched Coat (skill level 115, also requires Clothcraft level 60): Element: WindWind Crystal + 1x (Spool of) Malboro Fiber + 1x (Square of) Eltoro Leather + 1x (Square of) Penelopes Cloth + 1x (Vial of) Belladonna Sap + 2x (Chunk of) Plovid Flesh


Aside from the above recipe, you also have the option of attempting to skill-up by repeatedly crafting a lower level synth. Be warned though, the chance of getting a skill-up for a lower-level synth is incredibly small! You may have to literally craft hundreds of lower-level synths in hopes of getting a skill-up through this alternate method.

  • Kitron Macarons should be used, as well as any armor items that increase crafting skill-up chances to give this method the best chances possible for skill-ups....but even so, the chance is still incredibly small!
