Goldsmithing Guide by Raelious for quick skill-ups

Do not expect to make any gil using this guide. This guide is meant to just skill up quickly and either A.) Sell the crafted items to NPC shops or B.) Hope that the AH-Bot buys back your item. Most of the items I will be listing will have a 8-10 level gap in them, so having Advanced Synthesis Support is a must. You will not get any skill-ups for any breaks if you are more than 5 levels under the skill level of the synth! All recipe items listed below can either be purchased from !ah and/or from shop/guild NPCs and/or obtained by farming them. Some recipe items you may already have from previous crafts. Purchase the crystals/clusters from !ah or farm them in Sky/Sea. Some recipes may also be de-synthed (usually using a Lightning Crystal or Wind Crystal). Check the Item Tool for any of the ingredients of the craft to see if a recipe exists using the end item that was just crafted as the material with a de-synth result being one and/or more of the crafting materials. Helpful Guild Notes: Primary Goldsmiths' (Goldsmithing) Guild is located at (H-8) in Bastok Markets, Reinberta is the Guild Master, Fatimah gives the Advanced Synthesis Support. The Guild shop is located to the west of Reinberta (same floor, same building, different room). NPCs listed were based on cost then proximity from the primary guild location, if they aren't already guild NPCs. Primary guild location was chosen based upon frequency of NPC decided.

Recruit (0-10)

Copper Hairpin (skill level 7): Wind Crystal + 1x Copper Ingot

• Copper Ingot (skill level 3): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Copper Ore
  • (Chunk of) Copper Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.

Craft Copper Hairpin until Goldsmithing skill is level 7.

Brass Ingot (skill level 9): Fire Crystal + 3x (Chunk of) Copper Ore + 1x (Chunk of) Zinc Ore

• (Chunk of) Copper Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.
• (Chunk of) Zinc Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.

Craft Brass Ingot until Goldsmithing skill is level 9, turn in Copper Hairpin for promotion, then continue on.

 Promotion Item - Copper Hairpin: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!

Initiate (11-20)

Brass Hairpin (skill level 17): Wind Crystal + 1x Brass Ingot

• Brass Ingot (skill level 9): Fire Crystal + 3x (Chunk of) Copper Ore + 1x (Chunk of) Zinc Ore
  • (Chunk of) Copper Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.
  • (Chunk of) Zinc Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.

Craft Brass Hairpin until Goldsmithing skill is level 17.

Silver Ingot (skill level 20): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Silver Ore

• (Chunk of) Silver Ore is available from NPC Visala at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.

Craft Silver Ingot until Goldsmithing skill is level 20, turn in Brass Hairpin for promotion, then continue on.

 Promotion Item - Brass Hairpin: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!

Novice (21-30)

If you've spent a lot of time in Dynamis and have a good stock of Sparkling Stones:
Clear Topaz (skill level 22): Wind Crystal + 1x Sparkling Stone

• Sparkling Stone only can be farmed.

Craft Clear Topaz until Goldsmithing skill is level 22.

OR If you don't have a good stock of Sparkling Stones:
Silver Hairpin (skill level 27): Wind Crystal + 1x Silver Ingot

• Silver Ingot (skill level 20): Fire Crystal + 4x Silver Ore
  • Silver Ore is available from NPC Visala at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.

Craft Silver Hairpin until Goldsmithing skill is level 27.

Silver Ring (skill level 32): Fire Crystal + 2x Silver Ingot

• Silver Ingot (skill level 20): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Silver Ore
  • (Chunk of) Silver Ore is available from NPC Visala at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.

Craft Silver Hairpin until Goldsmithing skill is level 30, turn in Brass Hairpin for promotion, then continue crafting Silver Ring until Goldsmithing skill is level 32.

Apprentice (31-40)

Mythril Ingot (skill level 40): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Mythril Ore

• (Chunk of) Mythril Ore is available from NPC Bornahn at (J-10) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Al Zahbi.

Craft Mythril Ingot until Goldsmithing skill is level 40, turn in Chain Gorget for promotion, then continue on.

 Promotion Item - Chain Gorget: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!

Journeyman (41-50)

Mythril Ring (skill level 47): Fire Crystal + 2x Mythril Ingot

• Mythril Ingot (skill level 40): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Mythril Ore
  • (Chunk of) Mythril Ore is available from NPC Bornahn at (J-10) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Al Zahbi.

Craft Mythril Ring until Goldsmithing skill is level 46.

If you have a good stock of of "elemental geodes":
"Various (lower craft skill level) gems/jewels" (skill level 51): Wind Crystal + 1x Any of the "elemental geodes".

If you don't have a good stock of "elemental geodes":
Gold Ingot (skill level 53): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Gold Ore

• (Chunk of) Gold Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.

Craft "Various (lower craft skill level) gems/jewels" and/or Gold Ingot until Goldsmithing skill is level 50, turn in Mythril Ring for promotion, then continue crafting Gold Ingot until Goldsmithing skill is level 53.

 Promotion Item - Mythril Ring: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!

Craftsman (51-60)

Gold Hairpin (skill level 58): Wind Crystal + 1x Gold Ingot

• Gold Ingot (skill level 53): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Gold Ore

Craft Gold Hairpin until Goldsmithing skill is level 58, turn in Mythril Gorget for promotion, then continue on.

Artisan (61-70)

Platinum Ingot (skill level 63): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Platinum Ore

• (Chunk of) Platinum Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.

Craft Platinum Ingot until Goldsmithing skill is level 63.

Platinum Ring (skill level 70): Fire Crystal + 2x Platinum Ingot

• Platinum Ingot (skill level 63): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Platinum Ore
  • (Chunk of) Platinum Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.

Craft Platinum Ring until Goldsmithing skill is level 69, turn in Mythril Breastplate for promotion, then continue on.

 Promotion Item - Mythril Breastplate: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!

Adept (71-80)

"Various (higher craft skill level) gems/jewels" (skill level 81): Wind Crystal + 1x Any of the "Avatarites"

Craft "Various (higher craft skill level) gems/jewels" until Goldsmithing skill is level 77, turn in Torque for promotion, then continue crafting "Various (higher craft skill level) gems/jewels" until Goldsmithing skill is level 81.

 Promotion Item - Torque: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!

Veteran (81-90)

If you have a good stock of "Elemental Ores":
"Elemental Beads" (skill level 87): Wind Crystal + 1x "Elemental Ore"

If you don't have a good stock of "Elemental Ores":
Orichalcum Ingot (skill level 89): Fire Crystal + 3x (Chunk of) Orichalcum Ore + 1x (Chunk of) Platinum Ore)

• (Chunk of) Orichalcum Ore can be purchased from !ah or can be farmed.
• (Chunk of) Platinum Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.

Craft "Elemental Beads" and/or Orichalcum Ingot until Goldsmithing skill is level 84.

Muscle Belt (skill level 92): Fire Crystal + 1x Brass Ingot + 1x Gold Ingot + 1x (Square of) Manticore Leather

• Brass Ingot (skill level 9): Fire Crystal + 3x (Chunk of) Copper Ore + 1x (Chunk of) Zinc Ore
  • (Chunk of) Copper Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.
  • (Chunk of) Zinc Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.
• Gold Ingot (skill level 53): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Gold Ore
  • (Chunk of) Gold Ore is available from NPC Teerth at (H-8) in the Goldsmiths' Guild shop in Bastok Markets.
• (Square of) Manticore Leather (requires Leathercraft level 80): Dark Crystal + 1x Willow Log + 1x Manticore Hide + 1x (Flask of) Distilled Water
• Willow Log is available from NPC Chaupire at (E-3) in the Carpenters' Guild shop in Northern San d'Oria.
• Manticore Hide only can be farmed.
• (Flask of) Distilled Water is available from NPC Kueh Igunahmori at (D-8) in the Tanners' Guild shop in Southern San d'Oria.

Craft Muscle Belt until Goldsmithing skill is level 90, turn in Colichemarde for promotion, then continue crafting Muscle Belt until Goldsmithing skill is level 91.

 Promotion Item - Colichemarde: While this is obviously craftable, !ah also stocks it so just buy it!

Expert (91-100+)

If you have a good stock of (Chunk of) Snowsteel Ore:
(Chunk of) Snowsteel (skill level 100): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of)

If you have a don't have a good stock of (Chunk of) Snowsteel Ore:
Palladian Brass Ingot (skill level 98): Fire Crystal + x4 (Chunk of) Palladian Brass Ore

• (Chunk of) Palladian Brass Ore only can be farmed.

Craft (Chunk of) Snowsteel and/or Palladian Brass Ingot until Goldsmithing skill is level 97, turn in Evader Earring (signed) for promotion, then continue on.

 Promotion Item - Evader Earring (signed) (skill level 100): Inferno Crystal (purchase from !shop 1) + 2x Palladian Brass Ingot
 • Palladian Brass Ingot (skill level 98): Fire Crystal + x4 (Chunk of) Palladian Brass Ore
   • (Chunk of) Palladian Brass Ore only can be farmed.

After you've turned in your Evader Earring (signed), you have multiple choices for Goldsmithinging skill levels 100 through 110. The ones listed below are the ones that Raelious provided. Other recipes may exist but these are what were listed on the original guide. Use the Item Tool and recipes on BG-Wiki/FFXIclopedia for other crafting level 100+ crafts but also then verify that the Item Crafting recipe exists for the end item here on HomepointXI and that the the Item Crafting ingredients are able to be obtained here on HomepointXI. Check these two things before you prepare your path to the end goal of Goldsmithing skill level 110!

Palladian Brass Chain (skill level 102): Fire Crystal + 2x Palladian Brass Ingots)

• Palladian Brass Ingot (skill level 98): Fire Crystal + x4 (Chunk of) Palladian Brass Ore
  • (Chunk of) Palladian Brass Ore only can be farmed.

Craft Palladian Brass Chain until Goldsmithing skill is level 102.

"Avatar-tear Rings" (skill level 115): Fire Crystal + 1x "Avatar-tear" + 1x Rhodium Ring

• "Avatar-tear" items are obtained only as a result of a tier 3 high-quality (HQ3) craft including Wind Crystal + 1x Any of the "Avatarites" (these crafts are skill level 81)
• Rhodium Ring (skill level 96): Fire Crystal + 2x Rhodium Ingot
  • Rhodium Ingot (skill level 93): Fire Crystal + 4x (Chunk of) Rhodium Ore
    • (Chunk of) Rhodium Ore only can be farmed.

Craft "Avatar-tear Rings" until Goldsmithing skill is level 110.
