Clothcraft Guide by Raelious for quick skill-ups
Do not expect to make any gil using this guide till you are at least 90+, this guide is meant to just skill up quickly and either A.) NPC crafted items, or B.) Hope the AHbot buys back your item.
Most of the items I will be listing will have a 8-10 level gap in them, so getting Adv. Support is a must. As you will not get any skills for any breaks if you are over 5 levels of the synth.
Most items listed below can either be gotten from shops/guilds, either buy the crystals/clusters on the AH, or farm them in Sky/Sea.
Levels 0-99
0-7 Cape (Earth Crystal + x1 Grass Thread + x2 Grass Cloth)
- Buy materials from the guild
- SAVE ONE FOR RANK UP
- You can desynthesis this back into more Grass Thread with a Lightning Crystal
7-14 Red Grass Thread (Lightning Crystal + x2 Red Moko Grass)
- Buy Red Moko Grass from the guild.
14-15 Red Grass Cloth (Earth Crystal + x3 Red Grass Thread)
- You can skip this if you wish to do so, but you can turn whatever threads you just made into these cloths and I would suggest holding onto them.
14-17 Cotton Cape (Earth Crystal + x2 Cotton Cloth + x1 Cotton Thread)
- Buy materials from guild
- SAVE ONE FOR RANK UP
- You can desynthesis this back into more Cotton Thread with a Lightning Crystal
17-21 Yagudo Fletchings (Wind Crystal + x2 Yagudo Feathers)
- Buy from AH, if out of stock run around Castle Oztroja and kill Yagudo.
21-26 Heko-obi (Earth Crystal + x2 Cotton Cloth + x1 Grass Thread)
- Buy materials from the guild.
- SAVE ONE FOR RANK UP
- Desynth the rest with a Lightning Cluster or sell back to NPC
26-34 Wool Thread (Lightning Crystal + x2 Sheep Wool)
- Buy materials from guild.
34-36 Wool Cloth (Earth Crystal + x3 Wool Thread)
- Use previous materials
36-40 Sanjaku-Tenugui (Earth Crystal + x2 Cotton Thread + x2 Cotton Cloth)
- Buy materials from guild.
40-45 Velvet Cloth (Earth Crystal + x1 Silk Thread + x2 Wool Thread)
- Buy materials from guild
- You can stop this craft at 44, but I would advise you to take it to 45 and hold onto any of these cloths if you plan to go past 100 with Clothcraft.
45-50 Silk Thread (Lightning Crystal + x2 Crawler Cocoons)
- Buy cocoons from guild, save thread.
50-53 Silk Cloth (Earth Crystal + x3 Silk Thread)
- Use what you made previously, or buy from the guild.
- You can sell these to the AH, for 90k a stack, or save them for a future craft.
53-58 Red Cape (Earth Crystal + x1 Gold Thread + x2 Velvet Cloth)
- Somewhat costly as Gold Thread sells from the NPC for 13300g.
- SAVE ONE FOR RANK UP
- You can desynth on these to get extra skillups, I would suggest buying materials to make 3-5 capes then desynthing, so on and so on.
58-62 Green Ribbon (Wind Crystal + x1 Silk Cloth)
- Craft the cloths, you can start this synth at 54 if you wish to save on having to buy as many Gold Threads.
62-72 Black Chocobo Fletchings (Wind Crystal + x2 Black Chocobo Feather)
- Buy the feathers at the Chocobo Stables in the 1st place nation on a character that is from that nation.
- Example: If Windurst is in first place, someone from Windurst will need to buy these. You can always make a mule give it gil and delivery box it to yourself.
72-77 Rainbow Thread (Lightning Crystal + x2 Spider Web)
- You will have to go farm these, save any threads you make.
77-81 Puk Fletchings (Wind Crystal + x2 Puk Wings)
- You will have to go out and farm these, preferably Wajaom Woodlands.
81-88 Wamoura Silk (Lightning Crystal + x2 Wamoura Cocoon)
- Very easy and one of the cheapest synths around these levels take this to the cap of 88.
- Buy cocoons from the guild in Al’zhabi, save the silk to turn into cloth.
88-90 Wamoura Cloth (Earth Crystal + x3 Wamoura Silk)
- Use what you have from previous, and cap out at 90 on these.
90-99 Wyrdweave (Earth Crystal + x3 Wyrdstrand)
- Buy on the AH there are tons of them skillup on them upto 99 if you wish, I would stop at 96-98 though and make Swith Capes.
90-99 Swith Cape (Earth Crystal + x1 Sparkstrand + x2 Wyrdweave)
- Use the Wyrdweaves you have from previous synth
- You will have to farm the Sparkstrand from the high level spiders in the Aquaducts.
Levels 100+
99-105 Haruspex Hat (Earth Crystal + x1 Gold Sheet + x1 Silver Thread + x1 Gold Thread + x1 Raxa + x1 Akaso Cloth + x1 Raaz Leather)
- Buy the Gold Sheet from Goldsmithing Guild or have someone craft it for you
- Craft the silver thread
- Buy Gold thread from the Clothcraft Guild
- Farm the Raxa in Sky, best place is probably where you farm Diorite
- Farm Akaso from Goblins in Abyssea-Grauberg, be prepared to farm a ton of this you need x2 Akaso per Akaso Thread and x3 Akaso Threads per x1 Akaso Cloth
- Farm Raaz Hides from the tigers in Abyssea-LaTheine
103-106 Haruspex Slops (Earth Crystal + x1 Gold Sheet + x1 Gold Thread + x2 Raxa + x1 Akaso Cloth + x1 Raaz Leather)
- Buy the Gold Sheet from Goldsmithing Guild or have someone craft it for you
- Buy Gold thread from the Clothcraft Guild
- Farm the Raxa in Sky, best place is probably where you farm Diorite
- Farm Akaso from Goblins in Abyssea-Grauberg, be prepared to farm a ton of this you need x2 Akaso per Akaso Thread and x3 Akaso Threads per x1 Akaso Cloth
- Farm Raaz Hides from the tigers in Abyssea-LaTheine
106-109 Haruspex Coat (Earth Crystal + x1 Gold Chain + x1 Gold Thread + x1 Velvet Cloth + x3 Silk Cloth + x1 Akaso Cloth + x1 Raaz Leather)
- Craft or have someone craft you the Gold Chains
- Buy Gold thread from the Clothcraft Guild
- Craft the silk cloth, buy silk thread from the clothcraft guild, or ask for it from people leveling in Crawlers Nest.
- Farm Akaso from Goblins in Abyssea-Grauberg, be prepared to farm a ton of this you need x2 Akaso per Akaso Thread and x3 Akaso Threads per x1 Akaso Cloth
- Farm Raaz Hides from the tigers in Abyssea-LaTheine
108-110 Foppish Tunica (Earth Crystal + x1 Gold Ingot + x1 Gold Thread + x1 Silk Cloth + x1 Celaenos Cloth, x1 Square Of Penelopes Cloth, x2 Defiant Scarf)
- REQUIRES A SUBCRAFT OF 60 GOLDSMITHING
- Craft/Buy Gold Ingot
- Buy Gold Thread from Clothcraft Guild
- Craft Silk Cloth, buy Silk Thread from Clothcraft Guild
- Farm Celaenos Cloth, drops off Lord Varney in Abyssea-Vunkerl (2.4% drop rate)
- Farm Penelopes Cloth, drops off Mictlantecuhtli in Abyssea-Tahrongi (5.1% drop rate)
- Farm Defiant Scarf, drops off Eccentric Eve in Abyssea-Konschat (12.8% drop rate)

- Farm materials and craft. Make sure to buy a Terra Crystal from $shop 1 so you can sign it.
